Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann commented on the confident victory of his teami in the starting match of Euro 2024 against Scotland.

Scotland showed us respect and maybe showed it even more after we scored the first two goals. The first goal in particular was very well played. We have taken the first step and we will try to perform even better from now on. We will do everything we can to win in Stuttgart. Tomorrow I will give the players a rest and on Sunday we will start preparing [for the Hungarian national team]. The team gives me a lot of energy - it's a lot of fun with these players.
