Famous journalist Serhiy Tyshchenko shared his thoughts about the coaching philosophy of Kyiv “Dynamo” coach Oleksandr Shovkovsky.
“Shovkovsky gives the impression of a philosopher. A person who emotionally perceives the world and does not desire to change it. He always wanted to be himself. The stories of those who wanted to be like him have faced tremendous failure.
I admire coach Shovkovsky primarily because he does not act as if he knows everything. He learns, learns from his own mistakes, and improves. He does not want to coach the way he was coached 20 years ago. For Ukrainian mentality and reality — that is just too much. I believe that all his victories, titles, and achievements are ahead of him!” — wrote Tyshchenko on his Facebook page.
