The Brazilian Football Confederation has decided to postpone the next two rounds of the championship due to flooding in the southern half of the country.
Fifteen of the twenty clubs in Brazil's Serie A asked for the postponement after the floods claimed the lives of at least 149 people. Another 108 are still missing. The centre of the disaster is Rio Grande do Sul, where it has been raining almost continuously for several weeks.
