UEFA wants to transform the UEFA Super Cup into a tournament of four

UEFA is developing ideas to change the format of the UEFA Super Cup, reports The Guardian.

According to the publication, the basic version of such developments of the organization is the transformation of this one-match tournament into a tournament with the participation of four clubs: the winners of the Champions League, the Europa League, the Conference League and the American MLS.

It is expected that a key discussion on the new format of the Super Cup will take place this week at the General Assembly of the Association of European Clubs in Istanbul.

Recall that now the winners of the Champions League and the Europa League of the previous season meet in the match for the UEFA Super Cup.
