Setanta Sport has made an official statement about the absence of a commentator at the match of the Ukrainian Championship Veres vs Shakhtar.
“Dear viewers! You may have noticed that most of the match between Veres and Shakhtar was not accompanied by commentaries.
Unfortunately, air raid alerts make adjustments to our work and create force majeure situations. Veres vs Shakhtar commentator Oleksandr Mykhaylyuk had to work for two UPL matches:
"Kryvbas" - "Vorskla" (13:00);
Veres - Shakhtar (15:00).
Due to air raid alerts, both matches began to run in parallel.
It is critical for Setanta Sports to provide a quality service to users. We did not have the opportunity to invite other commentators who worked on that day, since we objectively did not have information about the time for the resumption of UPL matches. This would jeopardize other events at Setanta Sports that could go uncommented.
On our part, it was decided that Oleksandr Mikhailyuk would fully comment on the Kryvbas-Vorskla match and after that he would start working on the Veres-Shakhtar game.
We would like to apologize for this force majeure event. The Setanta Sports team will analyze the current situation and in the future will do everything to ensure that commentators work at all events from start to finish. We would like to thank the viewers who, despite the circumstances, watched the match on our platform, as well as the media that paid attention to the incident,” the message on the Setanta Facebook page says.
