The FIFA Council at yesterday's meeting approved the final scheme for the 2030 World Cup finals.
The FIFA Council unanimously agreed that the only candidate would be a joint bid by Morocco, Portugal and Spain. Ukraine, which previously appeared in this bid, was not mentioned in the FIFA report.
In addition, taking into account the historical context - the centenary of the first ever FIFA World Cup - the FIFA Council unanimously agreed to hold a unique centenary ceremony in the capital of Uruguay, Montevideo, where the World Cup was held for the first time in history in 1930, and to hold three World Cup matches in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.
