Argentine prosecutors have requested permission to inspect the house where former footballer Diego Maradona died, EFE reports.
The hearing in the case of the Argentine's death took place on 6 March. Five doctors and three nurses were put on trial as defendants and face 8 to 25 years in prison. The doctors are accused of involuntary manslaughter, where the perpetrator was negligent, knowing that this could lead to the death of another.
The expert group that investigated the cause of Maradona's death concluded that he did not receive proper care after surgery to remove a subdural haematoma in his brain.
Maradona died on 25 November 2020 at the age of 60.
