The legendary Romanian striker Florin Raduchoiu recalled his professional debut under the guidance of current Dinamo head coach Mircea Lucescu.
Florin Raduchoiu made his professional soccer debut for Dinamo Bucharest on May 10, 1986 at the age of 15. The ticket to big soccer was given to him by current Dinamo Kyiv mentor Mircea Lucescu, who released him as a substitute in the game against Timisoara (2-1).
"I was very weak and scared. I was terribly afraid! I played, I think, 15 minutes, and it was my debut for Dynamo. Thanks to this extraordinary man and coach Mircea Lucescu!
He was the coach who played the most important role in my career. The most important person in my life! Without him I wouldn't have become a good level footballer, and I really owe him a lot.
"He played an important role in my move from Verona to Brescia when I had a bad season. Despite doubts and criticism from the fans and owner Gino Corioni, who didn't want me, Lucescu managed to bring me along," gsp quoted Raduchoi as saying.
