Commentator Viktor Vatsko shared his thoughts on the current problems of Dynamo Kyiv on the Vatsko on air YouTube channel.
- To put it simply, without going into details and nuances, 10 years ago Dynamo had an annual budget of $100 million, maybe $120-130 million. Footballers then cost 10 times less on the market than they do now. Back then, players from abroad wanted to come to Dynamo: budget, salary, Champions League. Now Dynamo has a budget of... well, how much... they say it's $20-25 million.
The club can't buy a proper player for the problematic centre-forward position. We've been looking for five years and haven't found anyone. Thank God, we have grown up with our own. They can't buy a central defender... Dynamo is now, like any other club in Ukraine, a modest, provincial, freelance club by European standards," said Vatsko.
