Tottenham midfielder James Maddison did not want to inherit the number 10 shirt from Harry Kane.
"To be honest, I didn't want the number 10 shirt to become vacant because it meant only one thing. So I definitely wasn't expecting the number 10 shirt. All the newcomers got their pre-season numbers - me, Manor Solomon, Destiny Udogi. Then, when it was time for incoming and outgoing transfers, it was changed.
I didn't want Harry to leave, but when he did and the club offered me the number 10 shirt, of course I wanted to wear it. It's my favourite number. I've had it tattooed on me, I've loved it since I was a kid," Goal quoted Maddison as saying.
