Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp commented on the outcome of the match against Brighton, which took place in the 8th round of the Premier League.
"I think it's a fair result, to be honest. After Brighton opened the scoring, we didn't allow them to create much. We handed them the first goal on a platter. In the second half, we probably should have scored the third, we had two great opportunities. But we lost too many one-on-one duels. And when you give your opponent these set pieces, the game becomes very open. We conceded a goal and the score was 2-2.
The first goal was a mistake, but McAllister, like all our players, found a way to get back into the game. And the second goal was a really good free-kick, to be honest. We lost two of their players, and that's why set pieces should be avoided at first. That's all.
If we had played better today, we would have really hurt them. But we didn't. That's how I feel: a little bit normal," Klopp told Sky Sports.
