On 12 January, a meeting of the working group on the organisation and holding of the extraordinary XXVI UAF Congress took place at the Football House in Kyiv.

KubanovAs you know, the Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association has instructed the UAF administration and the UAF Presidium to take all measures provided for by the statute to prepare and hold the extraordinary XXVI UAF Congress. Control over the implementation of this decision is entrusted to UAF First Vice President Vadym Kostyuchenko.
"Preparations for the Congress continue according to the approved schedule. All relevant services and departments of the association are involved in the process. We currently have confirmation of participation in the congress of delegates from all UAF members. We also continue to receive confirmations from invited guests of honour. In particular, the winners of the Golden Ball Oleg Blokhin and Igor Belanov have been invited to the congress. The head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Serhiy Rebrov, will also be there. The head of the NOC of Ukraine, Vadym Hutzayt, and the acting Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Matviy Bidnyi, have also confirmed their arrival at the Football House. "We are finalising the details of the visit of representatives of FIFA and UEFA, individual associations of European countries," Vadym Kostyuchenko said during the meeting.
