Italian coach Maurizio Sarri could quickly return to work after his dismissal from Lazio, according to Alfredo Pedulla's website.
The 65-year-old specialist received a call from Nottingham Forest representatives asking him to take over the team at the end of the season, replacing Nuno Espirito Santa. "The Foresters are going through a difficult time after receiving a 4-point penalty for violating financial fair play, which puts them in danger of survival.
"Nottingham offered Sarri a three-year contract with the promise of a big transfer next summer in case of rescue. However, the coach rejected the offer because he wants to regain his strength and start the new season.
