The youngest player in Lucescu's family plays for Rapid. He is Mircea's great-grandson, the son of Marilu, Razvan's daughter.
Mircea Lucescu (photo: profimedia.ro)For several months now, 6-year-old Lucio has been at the Vishini Youth Centre, the school of fast football, an association that includes groups of children born after 2014. His father is a Peruvian university professor whom Razvana's daughter met in South Africa, where she was travelling. Maria Luisa, nicknamed Marilu, was engaged to a Bulgarian man and they were planning a wedding, but meeting the Peruvian changed her plans and they got married.
"I have a great-grandson who wants to play. We have already given him a few real shirts," Mircea said of Lucio.
