Ihor Khudobyak, the legend of Lviv's Karpaty, told us whether Myron Markevych's men will be able to compete for leading positions in the Ukrainian championship.
- How do you like the current Lviv Karpaty? Do you follow their games?
- Yes, since the revival of Karpaty, I've been following their games, and whenever I can, I do. It's great that the team is in first place and will play in the Premier League next season. Also about the game: I think we can play better, but the main thing is the result. I think Karpaty will get stronger in the summer and play better.
- Recently, there was information that UEFA recognised the new Karpaty as the successor to the old one. Do you consider this club, which now plays in the first league, a new one?
- I think that the club is new because it has a new base, a new president, only the fans and the coat of arms remain. I think it's 80% new.
- If you are offered a job at Karpaty, will you take it?
- I don't know, it's hard to say now. I think so, but you have to be ready for it. You can't just run away when you are offered a job at a club like Karpaty. You have to be ready for the job that will be offered.
- Will Myron Markevych be able to turn Karpaty into a club that will compete for the top spots in the UPL?
- I think he will. As far as I know, there is everything for this, because I communicate with the guys and people who are close to the club. I think that the club has all the opportunities for this.
