The Catalan press reacted to the serious injury of Ukrainian winger Viktor Tsygankov, who suffered in Girona's 0-3 loss to Real Madrid.
On 30 September, Catalan Girona lost to Real Madrid (0-3) in the eighth round of the Spanish La Liga.
In the match, Ukrainian winger Viktor Tsygankov was injured and will miss about a month due to a biceps femoris muscle injury.
"Theloss of Tsygankov was very important for Girona, who will lose the Ukrainian for the first time since he landed at Montilla in January. In fact, from last season until now, the winger has played 25 games in the starting line-up and has been a fundamental part of Michel's schemes.
Tsygankov will miss Saturday's game against Cadiz, matches for the Ukrainian national team, and the matches against Almeria and Celta. On paper, his return could take place at the Osasuna pitch in the first weekend of November."
The Catalan press believes that after Tsygankov's injury, the Girona head coach will face a difficult task of finding a replacement.
"Without Tsygankov, we can say that for the first time this season, Michel will have to make a replacement at the winger position, remembering also the injury to Porto, which devastates the right flank.
Themost understandable option on paper is to move Savinho to the right wing, where he should feel more comfortable, and move Pablo Torre or Valeri to the left wing," L'Esportiu de Catalunya said.
