Former Italy and Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has named France as the favourite for the 2024 European Championships in Germany and assessed Italy's prospects.

It will be recalled that Italy is the current winner of the European Championship. In the final of Euro 2020, the Italians beat England in a penalty shootout.
